JULIA'S OTHER SIDE

As a trained chef with a family legacy in the restaurant world and a passion for discovering unforgettable restaurants, I bring you trusted recommendations from the cities I know and love.

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT ME

Born in Paris to a French restaurateur and a Canadian mother, I moved to London at 15, where I’ve made my home ever since. Though I still visit Paris often. Montreal has been a regular destination too, with family there and annual trips keeping me close to the city. Growing up, I worked in my dad’s restaurants, doing everything from waitering to cheffing and even handling the accounting. My love for cooking led me to study at Le Cordon Bleu, where I earned my Cuisine Diploma. I then worked as a sous chef at Cépages, a London restaurant, for over a year before shifting my focus to my own creative projects.

My parents fell in love with Ibiza decades ago, and I’ve known the island since I was 10. It’s now a place I split my time living between London and the magical island. Many of my friends have made Los Angeles their home, so I’ve been visiting since my early 20s, and every trip includes a stop in Joshua Tree. A beautiful desert I’ve grown to love. I’ve also spent time living in New York, doing an internship there and I visit often since it’s close to Canada.

These places are part of my life and my love for eating out has taken me to countless restaurants, from hidden gems to iconic spots. This guide is a collection of my favourites, shaped by years of exploring cities I know well and love deeply.

I hope this sparks joy and curiosity in you!
